Vision for kids and adults.............Lions, Leos, and other volunteers collect used eyeglasses for donation to Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers that are located throughout the world. The used eyeglasses are cleaned and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers and other organizations hosting optical missions in developing countries. Our Lions Club collects used glasses from the public as well as eye glass companies and doctors. Please contact Danny Wolf at dwolf@cccsnct.org if you want to become involved and donate used eye glasses, or if you would like to place a collection box in your business.
THE SPECIAL VISION CLINIC FOR ADULTS WAS HELD ON MARCH 7, 2009 AT OLD SETTLERS RECREATION CENTER. 149 PEOPLE WERE SCREENED FOR VISION NEEDS. THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED WITH THIS COMMUNITY PROJECT.
